Imtaz Khaliq MBE has been named by Cosmopolitan as one of the four top tailors in London. She has been awarded an MBE for her services to the fashion industry. Her award-winning tailoring business based in a Georgian town house in Islington, and formerly based in Bond Street, has been established for 20 years. Imtaz creates exclusive garments for both men and women. She has vast experience in designing suits and dresses for special occasions such as weddings. She also holds one on one tailoring classes, which have been featured in Time Out magazine, and corporate tailoring classes, most recently for Harrods

Imtaz enjoys a high profile client base, having designed for pop star Dina Carroll, actress Michelle Pfeiffer, newsreader Kay Burley, supermodel Tatjana Pattiz, and newsreader Mishal Husain. Her tailoring work has been widely featured in the press including the BBC, Channel 4, GMTV, The Face, Tatler, and Cosmopolitan. She has talked at many events at the British Library, London City Hall, and the House of Lords. Imtaz was photographed by Jason Bell in the Sunday Times Magazine as 'The Next Big Thing'. Imtaz teaches marketing at the University of Westminster and has studied mindfulness and yoga. She incorporates mindfulness into tailoring lessons for those looking for a calming therapeutic experience.

Imtaz was born in Bradford where she had her first tailoring business at the age of eighteen, and is of Pakistani origin and has had a passion for tailoring from the age of ten. She enjoys sharing her skills and experience and sits on several government boards. She has worked in executive shopping in Harrods, Harvey Nichols, and Sacs Fifth Avenue in the USA. Imtaz was featured in the Financial Times article 'MBE for Campaigning Tailor', championing education, skills, equality for women, and black and ethnic minorities in fashion. Imtaz is an honorary fellow of Bradford College.

Imtaz met and shook hands with the Queen in March 2010 at a Buckingham Palace reception for the clothing industry with Stephen Jones, Marie O'Reagan (who taught Imtaz at the London College of Fashion in 1989), and David Bailey.

Imtaz trained and taught at London College of Fashion and the University of Westminster, and trained at Jacob Kramer College Leeds.
